Having written and produced chart-topping songs on Icelandic radio and toured all over Iceland and the world with various artists, Baldvin now dedicates himself to cultivating his career as a sought-after producer and songwriter while simultaneously pursuing his own musical endeavors.

 

At just seven, Baldvin began his musical journey with the piano. His passion for music led him to enroll at "Tónlistarskóli FÍH" (now MÍT) at fourteen, guided by esteemed instructors Eyþór Gunnarsson and Vignir Þór Stefánsson. He honed his skills and remained dedicated to his studies until his graduation in 2018. Recognizing his talent, Baldvin was honored with the Icelandic Music Award for Newcomer of the Year in jazz and blues in 2017.

In 2018, Baldvin continued his musical journey at Stockholm's prestigious Royal College of Music, studying under Lars Jansson and Adam Forkelid. Graduating in 2021, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in jazz performance.

In recent years, Baldvin's musical pursuits have expanded beyond his own jazz albums. His multifaceted talents have been showcased as a producer, arranger, songwriter, and session musician, collaborating with established Icelandic artists such as ClubDub, Mugison, HipsumHaps, Sturla Atlas, Auður, Unnsteinn Manuel, Kristin Sesselja, Herra Hnetusmjör, Snny, Sigga Ózk, Hera Lind, Malen, Ágústa Eva, Salóme Katrín, Bogomil Font, Ellen Kristjánsdóttir, and many more.
