Baldvin Hlynsson is an Icelandic producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his work in both the Icelandic and international music scenes. In 2024, Baldvin produced and/or co-wrote two songs that reached the No. 1 spot on the Icelandic National Broadcast, Bylgjan, and X-ið, including the winning song for the Icelandic IDOL. His collaborations span some of Iceland’s most prominent artists, including Una Torfa, ClubDub, Mugison, and Malen, reflecting his ability to bridge genres and capture each artist’s unique voice.

Baldvin’s talent was formally recognized in 2017 when he received the Icelandic Music Award for Newcomer of the Year in Jazz and Blues. His latest project is with New York-based artist Camryn Quinlan, marking his first international collaboration as a development producer.
