Baldvin Hlynsson is an Icelandic producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans the Icelandic and international music scenes. With a foundation in jazz and a wide-ranging command of pop, electronic, and alternative production, he has developed a versatile style that adapts to each artist he works with.

Since 2020, Baldvin has produced, co-written, and performed on at least five songs that have hit No. 1 on Iceland's national broadcaster Rás 2, with several also topping commercial stations Bylgjan and X977. His collaborations span some of Iceland's most prominent artists, including Bubbi Morthens, Mugison, Diljá, Una Torfa, Jóhanna Guðrún and ClubDub, reflecting his ability to bridge genres and capture each artist's unique voice. In 2026 he joined Bubbi’s band, contributing to Bubbi's new record and performing as part of the band at Bubbi's sold-out 70th-birthday concerts at Laugardalshöll. The same season, he serves as conductor and keyboardist for Ormstunga, the National Theatre of Iceland's hit new mainstage musical based on Gunnlaug's Saga, which received 12 nominations at The Icelandic Performing Arts Awards (Gríman), more than any production in the award's history.

Baldvin's talent was formally recognized in 2017 when he received the Icelandic Music Award for Newcomer of the Year in Jazz and Blues, following his BA in Jazz Piano from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Since then, his work has been praised for its musical depth, innovative production, and ability to bring an artist's vision to life. These qualities have steadily positioned him as a respected figure on the international scene.

That international side is now a central part of his work. Baldvin is in active development with a growing roster of emerging artists, headlined by his first international collaboration as a development producer, Camryn Quinlan (New York), alongside Sofia Kay (Toronto), Hera Lind (London) and others, with current projects reaching Miami, Dallas, Frankfurt, and Bangkok. Baldvin now continues to build a diverse roster of artists, blending his deep musical foundation with a forward-thinking approach to production and songwriting in a way that elevates each artist's identity.
